COVID-19 (no.13)

COVID-19: TRANSFER OF THE MONTREAL METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY (CMM) INTO RED ZONE

Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., Vaudreuil-Dorion – Yesterday at 5:30 p.m., the Premier of Quebec, Mr. François Legault, raised the alert level for Greater Montreal. Vaudreuil-Dorion therefore goes into the red zone.

Based on the latest indications, gymnasiums and sports halls remain open. Nonetheless, we must meet the criteria for the orange alert level. That is, having a maximum of 25 people per set. An activity board must have a separate entrance and exit and its access must be well controlled.

The schedules for all lessons are therefore maintained in full (with the exception of a few lessons) *. Several changes in the rotation of the devices will be made in order to respect the sanitary principle of the trays, but these changes will not affect the start or end time of classes.

Measures taken for the safety of your children:

  • The gymnasium has been divided into 4 distinct platforms in order to respect the maximum of 25 people per platform in orange level.
  • Coaches will wear the procedural mask at all times during training.
  • Participants aged 10 and over must wear a mask as soon as they enter the Multisport center and when traveling. The mask can be removed once at its plateau, during sports practice.
  • Social distancing is increased to 2m between participants and is maintained at 2m with coaches.

Resumption of recreational classes:

The recreational classes canceled on September 25, 26 and 27 will be resumed on December 11, 12 and 13.

The changes make it possible not to cancel lessons due to the new health standards in force. Several changes affect cheerleading, because the use of the cheerleading floor is an important issue in respecting the number of people present on this board.

If you are affected by these changes, but the new hours are not suitable, please contact us at info@clubgymini.org. It will be possible to credit unused portions and / or cancel your lessons.

Of course, if the government were to impose further restrictions we might have to change the hours further, but we sincerely hope not.

A collective responsibility

The entire Gymini team would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. What we love most in the world is being in the gym helping anyone who wants to push their own limits through acrobatic sports. This is why we hate to cancel lessons or change schedules.

All the same, for the entire sports industry, we must show solidarity with government decisions and take the required actions quickly to reduce the long-term impacts of this pandemic. Your health, that of your children and of our employees is our priority and this depends on respecting the rules of the game.

Let’s stay healthy, be safe and do everything we can to get life back to normal as quickly as possible.
