This summer, the gym is my playground.

Gymini offers a day camp specialized in acrobatic sports where creativity, animation and the passion for acrobatic sports are mixed to the greatest delight of children 6 years old and over! No matter the temperature Mother Nature provides, unforgettable moments and accomplishments are on the program all summer.

The day camp runs Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Daycare is also available from 7 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm. Every day, children train in the gym. In addition, children will have the chance to practice other sports and play various games and activities. Weather permitting, the groups will also have fun at the water games and at the park.

A place where passion for gymnastics and animation make one.

Regular schedule

The camp runs from 9am to 4pm.
The daycare service is offered from 7am to 9am and from 4pm to 6pm.

Arrival and departure

The children registered to daycare service can arrive from 7 am. A counsellor will greet them.

Children enrolled in the animation service only can arrive at 8:45 am. They will then be directed to their group.

For departures, you can pick up your child at 3:45 pm.

Early or late departures

If you plan to leave the day camp early, you will have to inform the person in charge of the reception, the same morning. You can also mention it by phone at (450) 455-3141 or by email at camps@clubgymini.org

Between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., it will not be possible to pick up your child unless it is an emergency situation. These special situations must be validated with the person in charge. No departure without a valid reason will be allowed during this time in order to allow for a smooth end of the day.

If you arrive before 3:45 p.m., your child may be on the way back to the club. A delay is therefore to be expected.

Parents who arrive after 4:15 p.m. will be charged for the daycare service. Evening care ends at 6:00 pm. A late pickup after daycare hours will be charged $5 per 15 minutes of delay.

Absences

It is not necessary to notify us if your child is absent for one day only. However, if the absence is longer, please contact us as soon as possible.

Statutory holidays

Gymini’s daycamp will be in operation on Canada Day, July 1st. All activities will be maintained.

Outdoor activities

Our campers use the Aurele-Joliat and Briand parks, as well as the water playground on Jean-Béliveau Street. Travel to the different outdoor areas is done on foot and is supervised by the counselors.

Water activities

Children will not use the pool, but will enjoy the water playground on Jean-Béliveau Street when the weather permits.

Outings

Gymini’s daycamp does not need outings to be memorable. We’re sure your children will have a lot of memories every day!

Allergies

As some of the children who will be attending camp during the summer are severely allergic to peanuts and other nuts, we ask for your cooperation in not including foods containing nuts or peanuts in your child’s snacks and meals.

If your child has an Epipen, it is mandatory that he/she wears it at all times and that he/she notifies his/her counsellor on the first day. Bring a case so that your child does not have to carry it. Make sure that your child leaves the day camp with his/her Epipen. After verification, contact a counselor on site if the Epipen is missing.

Medication

Your child must take medication during the day? You must inform a supervisor and give him/her the medication and its dosage. No medication will be given without written parental consent.

Sportswear

Participants will be practicing one of the acrobatic sports offered at Gymini for a good part of the day. It is therefore important to bring comfortable clothing. Since the children will also be playing in the park, please bring closed-toe shoes. For those who arrive early, a small jacket is much appreciated by the children on chilly mornings.

Swimming accessories

Children will also go to the water games when the temperature allows it. Therefore, it is important to bring a bathing suit and a towel.

Equipment to bring

For a pleasant stay with us, please make sure that the children bring

  • Bottle of water
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Pencil case (colored pencils, scissors, glue stick)
  • Swimming accessories (swimsuit, towel)
  • Cold lunch free of nuts and peanuts with a cooler bag // Please note that no microwave is available

Lunch box left at home?

Your child forgot his lunch? You must bring your child’s lunch box. Sharing food is not permitted. You must contact the camp office at (450) 455-3141 or by email at camps@clubgymini.org to inform us of your arrival time so that we can pick up your lunch.

In order to be matched with a friend, you must send an email to the camp coordinator at least the Wednesday before your child arrives at camp.

Groups are divided according to the age of the children. Two children with a large age difference will not necessarily be paired together despite the request for a pairing.

Communicate with the coordinator

Do you need a third party to pick up your child?

You will have to communicate this information to the person in charge of the reception, the same morning. You can mention it by phone at (450) 455-3141 or by email at camps@clubgymini.org.

The person will have to show an ID card when picking up your child.

The majority of our counsellors are over 18 years of age and are chosen among our recreational gymnastics coachs. In order to work at the day camp, our coaches receive specific training for day camp work. The Club conducts criminal background checks on all employees.
