Competitive

It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you get up.

My experience as an athlete :

  • I was a gymnast for 14 years, including a national junior year, and several in provincial competition.
  • In addition, I had the chance to assist the coach of the Dawson College cheerleading team for 2 seasons.
  • I also have extensive training in dance, including 26 years of Cecchetti ballet, 15 years of jazz, contemporary, lyrical.

My training experience :

NCCP competition 1 – Artistic gymnastics

NCCP competition 2 – Hockey

My other experiences :

  • Apprentice at the Cecchetti ballet (Paul Bertrand, Les Grands Ballets)
  • Jazz apprentice (Sonia Balazovjech, SBDC Dance Company)
  • Hip-Hop Apprentice (Marvin Real Baptiste)
  • World Champion – Contemporary Lyrical Jazz 2009-2010 (World of Dance)
  • 10 years as a competitive dance coach (levels: provincial, national and world)
  • Choreographer of competitive dance teams (provincial, national and world)
  • 6 years as a hockey coach

My pride :

One achievement that I am proud of as a coach is having won the title of hockey coach of the year for two consecutive years.

My passion :

The driving force behind my desire to train is the development of my athletes, not only to become the best gymnasts possible, but also well-balanced young adults. My desire is to instill in them the confidence to face any obstacle that gymnastics and / or life throws at them.

My development :

As a coach I believe we are still learning, I would like to start by getting my professional coaching certification. However, I don’t want to stop there, I would like to continue to grow as a coach by getting the highest level of coaching possible.

My club :

I came to Gymini as an adult athlete and wanted to join the Gymini family as a coach because I saw the passion I have for gymnastics reflected in other coaches as well as the pillars on which Gymini is founded.
