The provincial program content is managed by the Quebec Gymnastics Federation (Gymnastique Québec). At that level, Gymini gymnasts train from 14 to 22 hours a week. Some athletes choose to combine education and sport through elementary school or high school sport concentration or Sport-Study programs. This approach makes it possible to increase the number of training sessions during the day and thus reduce training in the evening and on weekends
As for competitions, Quebec separates into 2 zones, which are subject to revisions. Athletes compete in 2 selection competitions in their area and then in a Provincial Qualifier (Coupe Québec) to determine the best gymnasts who will compete at the Quebec Championships, which are the provincial goal of this network. Club Gymini proudly hosted these championships in 2019. Following the Quebec Championships, the best gymnasts in the JO7 & JO8 categories will be able to access the Eastern Canadian Championships.
Access to this program is through an audition or invitation by the Club, following an assessment of the athlete’s level.
