Introduction to aerial circus
The “Introduction to aerial circus 7-9 years” course is ideal for children aged 7 to 9 who want to learn the basics of aerial circus. Note that the coaching team will take into account the participant’s prior knowledge to ensure constant progression from one session to the next.  It’s a good idea for your child to try out the initiation level for his or her age group.

Participants will be introduced to the fixed trapeze, aerial hoop and aerial fabric.  They will also experiment with different apparatus such as the aerial cube and the flying rope. The course also includes a gymnastic warm-up, as well as floor acrobatics and balancing games.

Aerial circus beginner-intermediate
The “Introduction to aerial circus 10+ years” course is ideal for children wishing to start learning aerial circus at an age when physical strength is more developed.  This course also aims to integrate participants who have taken classes in the 7-9 age group and want to continue developing their skills in each apparatus.  The course will be adapted to ensure progression.

Participants will be introduced to the fixed trapeze, aerial hoop and aerial fabric.  They will also experiment with different apparatus such as the aerial cube and the flying rope. The course also includes a gymnastic-type warm-up, as well as floor acrobatics and balancing games.

Intermediate plus aerial circus
The “Intermediate plus aerial circus 10 + y.o.” course is one in which participants must have taken part in at least 3 sessions in previous courses, or have equivalent training from another school.  Participants must be able to climb unassisted and without knots in aerial fabric.

The course will be taught by professional circus artist Janika Fortin. Participants will continue to learn fixed trapeze, aerial hoop and aerial fabric.  They will also experiment with different apparatus such as the aerial cube, triple trapeze, aerial straps and flying rope.

Advanced aerial circus
The “Advanced Aerial Circus” course is ideal for children aged 12 and over who want to develop their aerial circus skills and learn how to create circus acts. It is aimed at participants who already have considerable experience in aerial circus. The course will be taught by professional circus artist Janika Fortin.

Please note that the course lasts 120 minutes and includes strength and flexibility development workshops, as well as acrobatic development workshops to complement the aerial circus progression.

Participants will work on the creative aspect to further develop the sequence of different movements, adding a sense of artistry.
We recommend that you consult the program leader before joining this group if you have any doubts about your child’s skills.
