G-FORCE TEAMS SHINE IN KICKSMAS COMPETITION

Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC – Thursday December 7, 2023,

The weekend of December 9 & 10 took place in Laval, the Kicksmas cheerleading competition, organized by Kick’s Cheerleading. The teams from the G-Force cheerleading association, a member of the great Gymini family, shone there.

Éclipse (Prep U-12 L1)

The Éclipse Prep U12 level 1 team, supervised by coaches Emma Béchard and Emma Johnson, left a strong impression during the Kicksmas competition. Although the final position was 2nd out of 2, the team delivered a great performance. This experience will undoubtedly provide a strong foundation for their growth as cheerleading athletes.

Galaxy (U-12 L1)

The Galaxy U12 Level 1 team, led by coaches Maïka Déziel and Léa Laplante, made its successful debut. The team obtained a final position of 6th out of 8 while delivering a great performance with a gym “hit”. Most of the team members were participating in a cheerleading competition for the first time. Despite the absence of a teammate, the group demonstrated a great ability to adapt. The Galaxy team promises a great season ahead.

Troopers (U-12 L2)

The Troopers team, guided by Frédérique, Naomy, Roxane and Noémie, obtained a third position in the U12 category, level 2, during this competition filled with challenges and emotions. It was a first level 2 competition for each of these athletes, and they came out stronger, ready to redouble their efforts for the next competition to come. Although there is still work to be done, their perseverance and determined will prepare them to return to the top of their abilities.

Skywalkers (U-16 Niveau 3)

The U-16 Level 3 Skywalkers team were applauded for their outstanding performance in the first competition of the season. Despite several routine changes, injuries and unforeseen departures since the start of the season, the athletes showed resilience and delivered a routine that received the mention of “Hit Zero”. Team Skywalkers will return to competition on January 27, with upgrades that will increase the difficulty level of their routine.

Rebels (Open-Coed L 4.0)

The G-Force association

Cheerleading is a mixed sporting discipline that was demonstrated at the 2018 Olympic Games. Cheerleading develops flexibility, strength, coordination, teamwork, perseverance and self-confidence.

Today, cheerleading consists of a mixture of acrobatics, floor gymnastics, dance and jumps, all set to dynamic music. The acrobatics part consists of the execution of human pyramids. The gymnastics part covers the main movements and sequences of floor gymnastics (tumbling). The G-Force association is the cheerleading section of Club Gymini. G-Force offers recreational, pre-competitive and competitive teams! For more information, do not hesitate to contact gforce.cheer@clubgymini.org.
