G-FORCE : COMPETITITON UNIFORM

COMPETITITON UNIFORM

Hello dear parents,

On Monday October 26, we learned that the “red zone” period would be extended until November 23. The Quebec Cheerleading Federation then issued a statement indicating that the sanctioned competitions could not take place by December 31, 2020.

For now, the competitions scheduled for after December 31st could still take place. We have not received a press release from the various organizers. Will they take place or not? We do not know.

YOU MUST MAKE YOUR FINAL CHOICE BEFORE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3.

At this time, you have given permission for us to proceed with the purchase of the uniform. However, we put the order on “pause” with our supplier. Thus, if you do not wish to purchase a uniform this fall, via our group order, you must contact Vanessa Ringuette by email, no later than Tuesday, November 3.

Here is some information you will find helpful in making informed decisions about ordering and using uniforms:

1. WE WILL USE THE SAME UNIFORMS FOR THE SEASONS 2020-2021 AND 2021-2022

The Club is committed to athletes and parents to use the same uniforms for, at least, the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons. We could even keep the same model for longer.

Maintaining the pattern allows athletes and parents to buy, trade and sell second-hand uniforms. Maintaining the model also lowers costs and ensures you won’t have to buy a new uniform if it isn’t used this year, due to COVID.

2. THE UNIFORM IS MANDATORY IN COMPETITION

You should be aware that the uniform is compulsory in competition. If you choose not to buy a uniform this year, you could find yourself in a difficult position. Indeed, you may need to get a uniform quickly, if we were able to compete, but you didn’t. You would therefore be forced to make these choices:

  1. Borrow a used uniform;
  2. Buy a used uniform;
  3. Order a uniform at a high price. The price will be adjusted upward, since it would be a small order. The transport costs would also be higher. Finally, the supplier could also ask for additional costs to make the order quickly. Note: The supplier may also refuse or not be able to produce the uniform on time.
  4. Do not participate in the competition. This choice would put the whole team in a difficult position.
