COVID19 (no. 2)

GYMNASIUMS ADMISSION PROCEDURES

MEMBERS RELEASE

Prevention

March 12, 2020 3:45 PM, Vaudreuil-Dorion – Following the announcement of new measures to prevent the contagion of COVID-19 by Prime Minister François Legault, at a press conference this morning, Gymini must update its response metrics.

ASYMPTOMATIC TRAVELERS AND SYMPTOMATIC POPULATION

Mr. Legault asks all travelers to put themselves in voluntary quarantine for a period of 14 days from the date of return to the country: “All people who return from all foreign countries, I ask you to put yourself in isolation for 14 days “.

We therefore ask all Gymini members who have recently traveled to collaborate in this request and to avoid the gymnasium until the quarantine is lifted.

This same request also applies to all members with one or more symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. These symptoms include: fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

GYMNASiUM ACTIVITIES

Activities in the main gymnasium of Vaudreuil-Dorion will be maintained until further notice. The maximum occupation of the gymnasium of the Multisports Center being 150 participants, we are therefore excluded from the government’s request to cancel the gatherings of more than 250 people. However, we recommend that parents avoid frequenting the mezzanine of the Multisport center for too long in order to reduce the number of contacts.

The activities of our satellite sites: Rigaud, Coteau-du-Lac, Saint-Zotique and Papillon-Bleu will be maintained until further notice. We are in communication with the municipalities and the school board to follow the development of the situation in the school gymnasiums.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE GYMNASIUM

We are monitoring the situation very closely regarding the holding or not of competitions outside the Vaudreuil gymnasium. For the competitive gymnastics sector, all events and competitions sanctioned by the Quebec Gymnastics Federation are canceled until April 5. We will keep you informed during the week of April 6 for an update of this decision. Until then, all competitions are suspended.

The Kick’s Celebration cheerleading competition, March 14-15, has been postponed to an unknown date. We are in communication with the organizers and the federation for the other cheerleading events and competitions scheduled in the GForce calendar.

HYGIENE AND PREVENTION

We ask everyone to pay particular attention to their hygiene and the precautionary measures announced by public health. We continue to analyze the evolving situation and follow current and future government directives.

Thank you for your usual collaboration in these uncertain times.
