Indoor sports ban as of April 8

Yesterday, Tuesday, the government announced new restrictions concerning indoor sports. The regions in the red zone, which includes Vaudreuil-Dorion, must now proceed with the closure of gyms and submit to the ban on indoor sports, except for swimming pools, arenas and tennis courts. As a result, Gymini will have to suspend its activities, with the exception of the Sport-Études and concentration sport programs offered with the Chêne-Bleu high school.

 

Sports and leisure :

  • During outdoor group activities (maximum of 8 people), wearing a mask or face cover is mandatory when people do not live together, unless they are seated 2 meters apart;
  • Indoor public places for recreation and sports are closed:
    • Except for swimming pools, ice rinks and places to play tennis and badminton;
      • In these locations, practice is permitted alone, in pairs or between occupants of the same private residence. Individual or shared classes may be offered;
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask or face cover in the arenas;
  • Gym are closed;

In the recreational section

    • Cancellation of private lessons from April 8 onwards. All clients who have registered for private classes scheduled to take place from April 8-26 will receive a cancellation and a refund.
    • Recreational season is cancelled. Unfortunately, we have been waiting for a date to resume our activity since October 8, 2020. After more than 180 days with no group class resumption on the horizon, we are making the choice to cancel the recreational season. All clients will receive a cancellation notice. Credits deposited to the account can be used for future registration. You may also choose to receive a refund. In the cheerleading sector

  • Cancellation of private lessons from April 8 onwards. All clients who have registered for private classes scheduled to take place from April 8-26 will receive a cancellation and a refund.
  • Continuation of the sport concentration program. Given the educational nature of the program. The program will continue until further notice.

In the precompetitive and competitive gymnastics sector

  • Cancellation of private lessons from April 8 onwards. All clients who have registered for private classes scheduled to take place from April 8-26 will receive a cancellation and a refund.
  • Programmed activities to come. At this time, there are no virtual activities scheduled between now and April 18. Alternative programming will be offered in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
  • Continuation of the Sport-Études program. Given the educational nature of the program. The program will continue until further notice.
