G-FORCE TEAMS ARE SUCCESSFUL AT KICKMAS COMPETITION

Last weekend was held in Montreal, the Kicksmas cheerleading competition organized by the Kicks cheerleading association at the Complexe Sportif Saint-Jean-Vianney. The teams of the G-Force cheerleading association, a member of the large Gymini family, performed well there. It was the first competition of the season. The best is yet to come.

Éclipse (Prep-U8-L1)

The Eclipse team won the gold medal in its category. This is a team that is in its first year of existence. This is the team that represents the next generation of the G-Force association. They were able to take first place ahead of larger and older teams, thanks to an original routine and detailed knowledge of the choreography from the coaches, Léa Laplante and Kaylia Arora. Congratulations Eclipse!

Skywalkers (U-16-L3)

The Skywalkers team, led by coaches Maïka Déziel & Léa Laplante, finished in 4th position out of a total of 8 teams in a truly fierce category. The 8 teams were of very high level. Skywalkers athletes stood out with their original routine and attitude! It will be necessary to refine the routine, to be more precise in the movements to obtain a podium during the next competition. Well done Skywalkers!

Galaxy (U-12-L1)

The Galaxy team was heavily penalized by a fall during a stunt, which made it finish in 6th position out of 8 teams in its category. Coaches Chloé Goneau, Emma Bechard, Kaylia Arora and Emma Johnson are sure that by perfecting the routine they will be able to get on the podium at the next competition.

Rogue (U-18-L4)

Rogue’s athletes were alone in their category. So they finish first. The coaches, Chloé Gonneau, Maïka Déziel and Audrey Lévesque are proud that the athletes were able to overcome a last minute change, indeed, our Eclipse team coach, Kaylia Arora, was able to replace an absent athlete. less than 48 hours notice. The athletes managed to put on an incredible performance.

Troopers (U-16-L2)

The Troopers team finished sixth out of eight teams in their category. They managed to get a “hit zero” rating, which means they put on a great performance and had no point deductions. Coaches Florence Dumont, Kaylia Arora and Océane Cadieux bet on a conservative strategy at the start of the season. The team is ready to take their choreography up a notch.

The G-Force Association

Cheerleading is a mixed sport discipline that was on display at the 2018 Olympics. Cheerleading develops flexibility, strength, coordination, teamwork, perseverance and self-confidence.

Today, cheerleading consists of a mix of acrobatics, floor gymnastics, dancing and jumping, all set to dynamic music. The acrobatics part consists of the execution of human pyramids. The gymnastics part takes up the main movements and sequences of floor gymnastics (tumbling). The G-Force association is the cheerleading component of Club Gymini. The G-Force offers recreational, pre-competitive and competitive teams!
