CLUB GYMINI ATHLETES SHINE IN THE SECOND REGIONAL SELECTION, THE FIRST QUÉBEC CUP AND ELITE CANADA

Introduction

The women’s artistic gymnastics athletes from Club Gymini shone during the second regional selection and the first Quebec Cup in District 1, which took place last weekend in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Regional levels 4, 5 and 6 all delivered exceptional performances, as did the provincial level N7 and N8 athletes.

Ève-Marie Leblanc, 14, a sport-study athlete from Chêne-Bleu high school, also took part in the prestigious Elite Canada competition in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She managed to achieve her goals and delivered remarkable performances.

Club Gymini is proud of its athletes and their determination to achieve their goals with high level performance. Congratulations to all our athletes for their commitment and determination.

Élite Canada

The 3rd competition of the weekend took place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was titled Elite Canada. Ève-Marie Leblanc, 14 years old and student-athlete in the sport-study program at Chêne-Bleu high school, took part in this prestigious competition for the first time. She was able to meet all of her competition goals by placing 14th on beam and 15th on floor, out of 22 participants, with magnificent performances on her 2nd day of competition. We are proud of his exemplary attitude throughout his experience. Well done Eve-Marie!

First Quebec Cup – District 1 – Levels 7 & 8

Coralie Deguire, 15, athlete in the sport-studies program, in the N7 category, gave a consistent performance throughout the competition, earning her 4th place on bars, 6th place on beam and an 8th place in the standings general.

Loriane Deguire, 16, athlete in the N7 category, also delivered an excellent performance at the bar, with a superb free turn at the balance.

Sarah-Maude Fillion, 12, athlete in the N7 category, competing for the first time in the N7 category, impressed despite difficulties on the beam. She finished 13th in total apparatus and won 4th place on floor.

Orélie Lefebvre, 15 years old and student-athlete from the Chêne-Bleu secondary school, in the N8 category, achieved performances worthy of her hard work. She won 2nd place on vault, and competed without falls.

Danica Majchrowicz, 11 years old, in the N8 category, had an exemplary attitude throughout the competition, a great performance.

Océane Malonga, 13, athlete in the N7 category, also performed well during her first experience on the provincial circuit. She has acquired many new movements this year and seems close to a podium.

Kaylie Moufrage, 14, an athlete in the N7 category, who worked hard in training, particularly shone on the beam where she performed a magnificent minichelli despite the stress.

Juliette Trudeau, 11, in the N8 category, completed her jump for the first time alone, which earned her first place. It performed outstandingly on all other devices.

Cassiopée Woo Sun Cheong, 12 years old and student-athlete from Chêne-Bleu secondary school, in the N8 category, performed on 2 apparatus out of a total of 4, she managed her stress well on beam and bars where she won 6th place.

Mahélie Woo Sun Cheong, a 14-year-old student-athlete from Chêne-Bleu secondary school, in the N8 category, maintained stability throughout the competition, which earned her 8th place overall. gear. She obtained a 6th place on vault and a 7th on beam, and achieved the goals she had set for herself.

In summary, the Gymini gymnastics sport-studies program at Chêne-Bleu high school was represented by talented and determined athletes who achieved remarkable performances during the competition. Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and determination!

2nd regional selection WAG

R4

Olivia Fortin, also 10 years old and an athlete in the R4 category, and recently joined the competitive team, impressed with her beautiful routines, particularly on the uneven bars, winning the silver medal. She also earned a 7th place on beam and 6th place in total apparatus. Well done Olivia! Keep up the good work.

Olivia Kra, also 10 years old and an athlete in the R4 category, dazzled with her superb floor routine, winning the silver medal. Despite some difficulties on the beam, she was able to recover to finish the competition in style, winning 4th place on vault, 5th place on uneven bars and 7th place in all events. Keep up the great work!

Laurie Riendeau, 9 years old and athlete in the R4 category, won the gold medal on floor with an impressive routine. She also improved her scores on the uneven bars, vault and balance beam, without falling once, earning her the silver medal in all-around.

Alexandrine L. Roy, 10 years old and an athlete in the R4 category, came to the competition confident and managed to improve her scores on the uneven bars and on the vault. She won awards on each of the apparatus and finished in 5th place overall. Club Gymini congratulates Alexandrine for her excellent work.

Malorie Rozon Rodrigue, 10 years old and athlete in the R4 category, performed well during this competition with a 2nd place on vault and a 3rd place on floor. Despite a difficult start, she was able to pull herself together with great determination and great concentration throughout the competition. Congratulations to Malorie for her great performance.

Rachelle Scott, a 10-year-old athlete in the R4 category, won a bronze medal in the total apparatus with great consistency and progression during the competition. She also earned third place on floor and beam. Congratulations, Rachelle, on your great achievements!

Livia Stars-Duffie, 10 years old and an athlete in the R4 category, started the competition with strength and energy, winning a 5th place on the uneven bars. Despite a fall on the beams, she did not give up and managed to rank 6th on floor with a score of 9.00 out of 10. She also improved her results on floor and beams. Congratulations to Livia for her perseverance and surpassing herself!

R5

Maya Abu Saliqa, 12 years old and athlete in the R5 category, impressed us during the competition. She maintained her concentration and delivered very good performances. She came 5th on the vault table and 4th on the floor. It was on the uneven bars and the beam that she was able to stand out by winning gold and silver. She is therefore crowned grand champion in her category and proudly returns with the gold medal in the total apparatus.

Frédérique Corbin, 12 years old and athlete in the R5 category performed well during this competition. After a few difficulties on the beam, she resumed her competition in hand and she was able to show what she is capable of. She won two bronze medals on floor and uneven bars with a very nice back flip dismount. She went for gold in the vault thanks to a dynamic and powerful jump. We are very proud of his work since the start of the season.

Twelve-year-old Maya Costa, an athlete in the R5 category, competed with her training partner Maya Abu Saliqa throughout the competition. She won gold medals on beam and floor thanks to her elegance, as well as a silver medal on uneven bars. She won the silver medal in the total apparatus with a difference of only 0.1 points compared to first place. Kudos to Maya for her awesome performance!

Charlie Lavigne, 11 years old and athlete in the R5 category, showed up to the competition with confidence and a smile. She won the gold medal on floor thanks to her dynamic and precise routine. She also improved her hand vault at the vault table, where she won the bronze medal. She finished the competition in 4th place in total apparatus with a 1.5 point improvement. Congratulations to Charlie for these impressive performances!

Satine Rose Bérubé, 10 years old and athlete in the R5 category, took part in the competition with great team spirit. She earned a 4th place on floor, an 8th place on uneven bars and a 5th place on the vault table. She also won the trophy for the best attitude during the competition.

Léa Royer, 11 years old and athlete in the R5 category, delivered great performances by winning two silver medals on floor with her passionate and elegant routine, and on uneven bars with a dynamic and well-controlled routine. Despite the stress, she was able to demonstrate her know-how, well done!

Eleven-year-old Lea Sahmoud, an athlete in the R5 category, won the gold medals on the uneven bars and the vault table thanks to her dynamic and powerful performances. She also won silver on floor and bronze on total apparatus.

Mika Trottier, 13 years old and athlete in the R5 category, is a new recruit in our R5-R6 group. In just 3 weeks she prepared for the competition, she impressed with her determination and composure. She did a great routine on floor and uneven bars.

R6

Justine Brennan, 11 years old and athlete in the R6 category, won the gold medal by being the only one in her category. She greatly improved her grades and increased her total by 3 points! She performed a very nice uneven bars routine, all in control, a dynamic floor routine, and with a nice outfit. We are very proud of the progress made by this young gymnast since the start of the season. Cheer !

Kélia Brood, 12 years old and athlete in the R6 category, arrived focused and determined at the competition. She won 3 bronze medals: on uneven bars, floor and total apparatus. She greatly improved her outfit, which allowed her to increase her total by 3 points compared to the first selection. Cheer!

Cailyn Easey, 12 years old and athlete in the R6 category, presented a magnificent beam routine, all elegant and without falling, where she obtained 5th place. On floor, she demonstrated magnificent sequences and won the silver medal. She maintained great consistency throughout the competition. Cheer!

Léanne Pirsch, athlete in the R6 category for 13-14 year olds, won the perseverance trophy. She overcame a more difficult first selection by working hard to increase her total by 5.3 points. She earned 4th place on the vault table and bronze on the beam thanks to her elegant routine. Congratulation !
