COVID-19: NEW GOVERNMENTAL CONTAINMENT MEASURES

This Wednesday, the government announced new health and containment measures to regain control of the 2nd wave of COVID-19 which is hitting Quebec hard.

We would have liked to be able to resume our activities and above all, to share our passion again together, but we believe that the health of our members is priceless. We will continue to work on a plan to return to the gym and when possible, we can pick up where we left off!

We are obligated to take the following steps to comply with new announcements. The measures will apply from Saturday, January 9 to Sunday, February 7 inclusively.

The measures taken to comply with public health instructions are:

  • In the recreational sector—all sports combined
      • Measures taken:
        • Transfer from fall session to winter session. Autumn is behind us and we haven’t had a chance to see you again. Clients registered for the fall session will automatically be re-registered for the 11 weeks’ winter session at no additional cost. The dates for the resumption of the winter session are still not known. We will notify you as soon as we are made aware of a possible return.
      • Consequence on purchases:
        • I wish to continue in the winter. No action is required if you want to keep the same time slot. We will contact you as the return approaches to remind you of the measures in place.
        • I would like to make a change to my registration or class schedule. If you would like to change your child’s schedule, please contact Maude Gagné maude.gagne@clubgymini.org. Please note that schedule changes are not guaranteed and that we will operate on a “first come, first served” basis.
        • I want to cancel my session. It is possible to cancel your session and get a refund. To do so, please complete the following form: https://bit.ly/GyminiRemboursement. Note that there are delays in processing requests, but they are processed weekly. No administrative fees will apply to unsubscribes made before the start of the session. It is therefore possible to wait to know the dates of the session before sending your unsubscribe request.

  • Competitive sector—cheerleading
    • Measures taken:
      • Removal of the distance and in person training schedule. The inability to hold gym classes and the significant loss of interest for team zoom training forces us to end this service. By ending it, we are also ending training fees as of January 11, since the fees had already been credited until January 10.
      • Addition of à la carte and optional services. In order to meet the desire of many to move and above all, in order to stay in touch and maintain a level of belonging, members who wish can register, à la carte, for private zoom lessons as well as for specific clinics. To benefit from this service, members must have an active registration. We thus wish to recognize the athletes who persevere and who maintain their registration. Visit our online store for all the details and to register: https://www.clubgymini.org/en/january-2021-g-force/.
      • Resumption of the sport’s concentration from January 18. As the return to class has been postponed, training for the sport’s concentration will therefore resume upon return to class unless otherwise advised by public health or the Minister of Education by then. Credit will be added to represent the training portion that did not go as planned.
    • Consequence on purchases:
      • Credit from January 17 to February 8. Credits will be applied to accounts in the week of January 11. This is a long administrative process, please be kind, it may take several days.
      • Adjustment of payments. Scheduled payments will be adjusted to reflect credits deposited to customer accounts.
      • Requests for reimbursements. It is possible to get a refund. To do so, please complete the following form: https://bit.ly/GyminiRemboursement. Note that the cancellation of a season cancels any possibility of benefiting from the services offered with the staff dedicated to the competitive cheerleading sector. There are delays in processing requests, but they are processed weekly.

  • Competitive sector—gymnastics
    • Measures taken:
      • Zoom training. Since the new government measures no longer allow us to offer private lessons, we want to keep in touch with the athletes by helping them to stay active during the month of January. Thus, physical preparation training as well as an artistic class will be offered weekly on your child’s schedule. Consult our web page dedicated to your schedule: https://www.clubgymini.org/janvier-2021-gymnastique.
    • Consequence on purchases:
      • Credit from January 4 to February 8. Credits will be applied to accounts in the week of January 11. This is a long administrative process, please be kind, it may take several days. All regular training hours not given will be credited at 100% while the hours offered in Zoom will be credited at 20%. One Zoom hour is therefore 80% of the value of one hour in the gym.
      • Adjustment of payments. Scheduled payments will be adjusted to reflect credits deposited to customer accounts.
      • Requests for reimbursements. It is possible to get a refund. To do so, please complete the following form: https://bit.ly/GyminiRemboursement. Note that the cancellation of a season cancels any possibility of benefiting from the services offered with the staff dedicated to the competitive gymnastics sector. There are delays in processing requests, but they are processed weekly.

TOGETHER IN THIS HARDSHIP

We would like to thank you for your patience and resilience. Since the start of the pandemic, we have been forced to constantly change our schedules and procedures, but all of our members have participated in the collective effort without flinching. Once again: thank you!

We never want to cancel classes, but it is vital for the entire sports industry to stand behind government decisions and take the required actions quickly to reduce the long-term impacts of this pandemic. Your health, that of your children and of our employees is our priority and this depends on respecting the rules of the game.

Lets stay healthy, be safe and do everything we can to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
