The councilors will offer various activities outside the gym for a portion of the day and the children will be able to practice one of the wonderful sport offered at Gymini during the other portion of the day.
The Acro-Discovery program is our ‘Jack-of-all-trades program’ where the children can dabble between artistic gymnastics, parkour and cheerleading.
Artistic gymnastics is a discipline that consists in linking acrobatic movements on apparatus. For women: the vault, the uneven bars, the beam and the floor. For men: the floor, the pommel horse, the rings, the vault, the parallel bars and the fixed bar. Children also use learning devices such as built-in trampolines, tumbl tracks and mini-trampoline to learn new movements safely.
Acrobatic gymnastics or acrosport or acrogym, is gymnastics sport, mingling choreography, floor gymnastics and human pyramid. It consists of a sequence of acrobatic hand-to-hand, staves, choreography and acrobatics on a musical theme. Acrobatic gymnastics is practiced in teams, consisting of flyers and bases. The exercises must include a harmonious combination of choreography, collective acrobatic elements (holds, throws, catches), and individual acrobatic elements (floor acrobatic series), all in perfect synchronization.
Cheerleading is a mixed sport that was demonstrated at the 2018 Olympic Games. Cheerleading develops flexibility, strength, coordination, teamwork, perseverance and self-confidence. Today, cheerleading consists of a mix of acrobatics, floor gymnastics, dance and jumps, all on dynamic music. The acrobatics part consists of the execution of human pyramids. The gymnastics part repeats the main movements and sequences of floor gymnastics (tumbling). The dance part is done, here, at G-Force, without pompons.
Parkour, also known as the art of displacement or free-running, is an acrobatic sports discipline that consists of crossing urban or natural obstacles, with fast and agile movements. Tracers use gym equipment to simulate external obstacles and exercise safely.
